Interview: Furnace & the Fundamentals

For those of you who were out and about at TumbaFest 2026, you likely had a good boogie to the surprise-filled set full of bangers by this band, Furnace and the Fundamentals.

Playing a style of covers described as ‘party mash-up’, it’s the kind of fun, cheeky energy that’ll let you shake off your worries and leave the dancefloor wanting more.

One of our station volunteers, Bella, caught up with the drummer, Mike, to learn a bit more about this interesting take on a cover band. Take a listen to the interview below:
